Leonardi Aray, AIA

Principal

Leonardi manages the operations and design efforts of the firm. Whether it is a home addition or an urban design intervention, Leonardi carefully identifies the challenges and opportunities associated with every project. Leonardi played key roles on a wide range of projects nationwide while working for various Boston-based firms. His project experience includes municipal and site-specific master planning initiatives, mixed-use structures, and largely multi-family housing through all phases - from design through construction administration.

While providing commercial and residential architectural services at LAA, Leonardi has been providing consulting services to various Massachusetts Municipal Affordable Housing Trusts.

Leonardi is an active member of the Boston Society of Architects, where he co-chaired the BSA Alien Architects Committee as well as its Housing Committee. He served on the "Envision Cambridge" Housing Working Group, which was tasked with preparing housing recommendations as part of the City's comprehensive master planning process. He is the current President of the Consulting Planners of Massachusetts. Leonardi has provided pro-bono design services to Home Free Home, an organization dedicated to improve the lives of people with disabilities. Leonardi is a certified passive house consultant. Leonardi holds a bachelor degree of Architecture from Universidad Simon Bolívar, Caracas, Venezuela -- his home town -- and earned a Master of Community Planning from the University of Rhode Island with a concentration in Urban Design. While at URI, Leonardi Aray prepared a Mixed-Income Housing Policy for the "Caracas urban core".

Leonardi lives in Cambridge with his wife, son and daughter. He is an avid cyclist and loves urban browsing.

Craig Kelley

Craig Kelley is an attorney and experienced politician who understands the real world challenges of turning design plans into a built reality. Mr. Kelley has a JD from Boston College Law School and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. He also served as an HKS Fellow focusing on the intersection between Urban Resiliency and local democratic governance.

Stephany Medina

Stephany Medina is a talented architectural and interior designer with a background in urbanism. She holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Fluent in Spanish, Stephany is an effective communicator who works well with diverse clients and team members. She is adventurous and passionate about traveling, having visited many countries, which enriches her creative perspective and design approach.

Anne McKinnon

Anne McKinnon is a Senior Planner with over 35 years of experience specializing in transportation, housing, and public projects for cities and neighborhoods. Her expertise includes planning the transition of Harvard's Allston campus to transportation planner for the Jackson Square Neighborhood Development. Anne holds a Master's in urban and environmental policy from Tufts University. Additionally, she is the co-founder and leader of the annual "Boston by Bike At Night" cultural bicycle tour, which she has organized for 36 years. Anne is the treasurer and a long-time member of Consulting Planners of Massachusetts, contributing her expertise to the organization.

Ryan Chemali

Born in the U.S. and raised internationally, Ryan is an architectural and urban designer with professional experience in the design, planning, and construction administration of affordable housing, commercial projects, and private residences. A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Ryan enjoys participating in architectural competitions to explore innovative ideas and merging local traditions with modern design.

Jen Pell Gordon

Jen Pell Gordon is an experienced construction and program management professional with a background in housing authority projects, homebuyer education, and process optimization. Skilled in project oversight, client management, contract negotiation, and systems development. Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry with expertise in construction administration and downpayment assistance programs.
